The City of Greeley and the Red Cross are opening a warming shelter for Greeley residents who are without power because of the recent winter storm.

Due to the expected size of the predicted snow storm, as well as the amount of leaves still on the trees, Xcel Energy is taking additional measures to assure that any widespread or prolonged power outages that may occur are handled as quickly as possible. The company is bringing  crews from Grand Junction to assist, plus crews from Texas are prepared to help with outages too.
