Restaurant heavily damaged by early morning fire | News

At 4:53 AM on 2/22/2012, firefighters from the Greeley Fire Department were called to 3820 10th St in Greeley on a structure fire. Upon arrival, fire crews found heavy smoke coming from the “Sushi One” restaurant. Fire crews quickly initiated an aggressive interior attack on the fire and made entry into adjoining businesses in order to stop the fire from spreading throughout the strip mall. The fire was extinguished and stopped at the restaurant, however, several adjoining business suffered smoke and water damage. No injuries were reported. Investigators have determined the cause of the fire to be accidental, associated with some discarded cooking materials. The restaurant suffered extensive damage and will require major repairs. Total damage is estimated at approximately $250,000.
